Internship – <\/b>(n.) The slave labor you put in between junior and senior college years to gain \u201cwork experience\u201d.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s the classic practical definition of an internship. This is not what a Kalibrr Internship <\/b>is.<\/p>\n

As a student, your job is to pass your classes. To make as few mistakes as possible on your exams and to prepare excessively for each challenge.\u00a0 There is an overwhelming fear of failure as a student.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re going to teach you to fail and fail well.<\/p>\n

The best way to learn design (or probably anything) is to make mistakes. This might sound like a euphemism for\u00a0trial and error, and that\u2019s because it is.\u00a0 In the case of UX, it\u2019s trying, failing, learning from your users, and doing that\u00a0over and over again.<\/p>\n

What separates good designers and great designers is not failing less, but learning more from each iteration.\u00a0Great designers test, test well, test often, and fail with remarkable grace.<\/p>\n

The Kalibrr Design internship is designed with this in mind. Not learning to design, but learning to learn.<\/p>\n

As a design intern of Kalibrr, you will be exposed to live product. The work you do makes direct impact on thousands of\u00a0users. You won\u2019t be a cog in the machine that spends every day working on repetitive tasks. You will work directly with\u00a0other designers, other interns, programmers, managers, and users.<\/p>\n

You will build great things, and they will fail in many spectacularly unexpected ways.<\/p>\n
