PASEI President Elsa Villa said that the labor minister and a group of private corporations in Kuwait told them new hospitals are expected to be constructed there in the next few months, hence increasing the demand for thousands of workers in the construction field as well. Job orders are expected to be issued through PASEI soon.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Miriam_promises_jobs_in_the_countryside\"><\/span>2.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mb.com.ph\/miriam-promises-jobs-in-the-countryside\/#VsOP1i3GbYUUtVEM.99\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Miriam promises jobs in the countryside<\/a><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If elected president, Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago said her administration would create more jobs in the rural areas so that Filipinos would no longer need to go to urban centers or work abroad to support their families. \u201cI commit that the Philippine economy will grow faster than ever before, and that it will be truly inclusive. We will make sure that real incomes of workers all over the country will increase over time,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Government_earmarks_P314_B_for_manufacturing_sector\"><\/span>3.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.philstar.com\/business\/2016\/04\/03\/1568713\/government-earmarks-p3.14-b-manufacturing-sector\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Government earmarks P3.14 B for manufacturing sector<\/a><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Philippines will receive P3.14 billion from the national budget this year to fund programs aimed at energizing the manufacturing industry, the Philippine Exporters Confederation Inc. (Philexport) said citing a report from the 2016 People\u2019s Budget. \u201cThe budget revives the manufacturing sector to boost the economy\u2019s growth,\u201d said the Department of Budget and Management, estimating that 24 percent of the country\u2019s gross domestic product this year will come from the manufacturing sector.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_3_out_of_4_Filipinos_prefer_to_work_in_hometowns\"><\/span>4.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/newsinfo.inquirer.net\/776677\/3-out-of-4-filipinos-prefer-to-work-in-hometowns#ixzz44ipVjiGh\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">3 out of 4 Filipinos prefer to work in hometowns<\/a><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>More Filipinos prefer working in their hometowns than move elsewhere in the country like Metro Manila for more promising employment opportunities.
