World Bank lead economist in the Philippines Rogier van den Brink said the country would face a massive job challenge in the next four years, as millions of young Filipinos were expected to join the labor force.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_BPO_industries_eyeing_225000_new_jobs_this_year-DOLE\"><\/span>2.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rappler.com\/business\/industries\/174-outsourcing\/125889-information-technology-bpm-bpo-dole-jobs?utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_medium=referral\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">BPO industries eyeing 225,000 new jobs this year\u2014DOLE<\/a><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The country&#8217;s information technology-business process management (IT-BPM) or business process outsourcing (BPO) industry is looking at adding more jobs to the economy as it seeks to reach $25 billion (P1.026 trillion) in revenue this year. Growing faster than the national economy&#8217;s growth rate, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz said the IT-BPM sector is very well poised to meet its target.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Job_seekers_hired_on_the_spot_at_Manila_Bulletin_job_fair\"><\/span>3.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mb.com.ph\/job-seekers-hired-on-the-spot-at-mb-fair\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Job seekers hired on the spot at Manila Bulletin job fair<\/a><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A former worker in the food and beverage industry has opted to shift to customer service as she joined other job applicants who were fortunate enough to get hired on the spot at the Manila Bulletin\u2019s (MB) \u201cClassifieds Job Fair\u201d event leg held at the Robinsons Place Manila Midtown Atrium. \u201cMy application experience was good, because when it comes to application processing, it was fast.
