For the second straight year, San Miguel Corporation (SMC) and Nestle Philippines ranked first and second, respectively, in the list of most aspired companies. The complete list of where Pinoys want to work featured a mix of local and multinational companies:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>San Miguel Corporation<\/li>\n<li>Nestle Philippines<\/li>\n<li>Accenture<\/li>\n<li>Shell Philippines<\/li>\n<li>Procter &amp; Gamble<\/li>\n<li>SM Investments<\/li>\n<li>ABS-CBN<\/li>\n<li>Banco de Oro<\/li>\n<li>Coca-Cola FEMSA<\/li>\n<li>Unilever<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>According to JobStreet\u2019s survey, five factors highlight why job applicants sought to work for the above-mentioned companies:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Benefits and incentives &#8211; Most popular consideration for\u00a0most position levels<\/li>\n<li>Salary\/compensation<\/li>\n<li>Learning and development \u2013 Primary consideration for fresh \u00a0\u00a0graduates<\/li>\n<li>Company reputation \u2013 Highest position levels(i.e. directors, \u00a0vice presidents, and CEOs) say this factor is as important as the previous three mentioned.<\/li>\n<li>Work environment and culture<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>What&#8217;s interesting to note is that the respondent\u2019s stage of his\/her career played an important role in determining the employee\u2019s \u201ctop factor\u201d when applying for a company.\u00a0<u><\/u>The survey also shares the following findings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aside from learning and development, fresh graduates also consider benefits and incentives, and salary\/compensation as the next important considerations.<\/li>\n<li>Benefits, salary, and training and development programs are the three most important reasons for a company\u2019s desirability for younger employees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As an applicant, how can you use information from JobStreet&#8217;s survey to your advantage? Taking this information to heart can give you an understanding of what makes a company a wonderful place to work for. These findings can serve as a handy guide when checking out new job opportunities. It also gives a chance to evaluate whether your current company can provide these important things to the degree of your liking.
