Filipinas, like many women all over the world, have risen from hundreds of years of inequality to stand side by side with our male counterparts in many industries. Whether we\u2019re at home or at work, we rock at what we do. According to the 2014 World Economic Forum Gender Gap Report,\u00a0the Philippines ranks number 1 in Asia<\/a>\u00a0in closing the gender gap.<\/p>\n

Our country also ranked 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0after Norway in the ability of women to rise in positions of power in business and leadership, as well as the highest percentage of firms owned by women. We\u2019ve come a long way, but we still have a lot of work to do.<\/p>\n
