(BDO) said it extended a seven-year loan to <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.interflour.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mabuhay Interflour Mill, Inc.\u00a0<\/a><\/strong>(MIMI) amounting to P998 million to partly finance the construction of its flour mill in Subic. \u201cThe investment of Interflour in the Philippines is a welcome development. BDO supports initiatives by conglomerates that generate employment opportunities in fast-growing business districts like Subic,\u201d BDO SVP and head of international desks Edward Wenceslao said in a statement.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"title\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_3139_Pantawid_beneficiaries_get_degrees\"><\/span>3.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/news.pia.gov.ph\/article\/view\/221460163546\/3-139-pantawid-beneficiaries-get-degrees#sthash.dGc9hbBn.dpuf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">3,139 Pantawid beneficiaries get degrees<\/a><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) announced that a total of 3, 139 Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries graduated from college this school year 2015-2016. Ninety of these students graduated with academic honors and awards. Of the total 1,139 graduates, 57 came from Metro Manila and mostly enrolled at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and at the Philippine Normal University. \u201cThe government is gradually reaping the fruits of the investment it made four years ago. Finishing a college degree gives these youth a fighting chance of improving their lives. Truly, this is the best interest of a government\u2019s investment,\u201d DSWD Secretary Corazon Juliano Soliman said.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"title\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Potential_OFWs_cautioned_vs_jobs_offered_online\"><\/span>4.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mb.com.ph\/potential-ofws-cautioned-vs-jobs-offered-online\/#4WPkq7flG2KE1c1O.99\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Potential OFWs cautioned vs jobs offered online<\/a><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The influential Catholic Bishops\u2019 Conference of the Philippines \u2013 Episcopal Commission on Migrants and Itinerant Peoples (CBCP \u2013 ECMI) is warning those seeking jobs abroad to be very careful about overseas work opportunities\u00a0 being offered online. CBCP\u2013ECMI Chairman Balanga (Bataan) Bishop Ruperto C. Santos explained that \u201creputable and legitimate companies normally do not rely on the internet for their recruitment requirements.
