Job Opening: Social Media Manager for the Queen of England

No, the Royal Family has not opened the position for Prince Harry’s wife just yet but the dream of making social media royalty just got a little more realistic. In order to keep with the times, The Royal Family has just announced that they are looking for a Head of Digital Engagement. Aside from the fact that you get to work with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and the rest of the royal ~~gang~~ family, the opening is quite the undertaking and there’s no doubt that the application process will be a rigorous one.

But the job description is pretty sweet.

Section: Royal Communications

Location: Buckingham Palace

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 (P3.3 million~) per year

Hours: 37.5/week

Benefits: 15% employer contribution pension scheme, 33 days annual leave, free lunch

About the role:

To “engage a worldwide audience with the public role and work of The Royal Family. Joining this fast paced and dynamic team, your challenge will be to lead on and develop our digital communications strategy, and ensure that we make effective use of a range of digital platforms to support these aims. You’ll provide digital and editorial leadership to a small team of digital media specialists, drive the content strategy of our newly launched website, and work with colleagues across the organisation to continuously improve our (The Royal Family) digital presence.”
