Kalibrr once again serves as a sponsor and presenter of the Top Employer Award at this year’s Asia CEO Awards

For the tenth consecutive year, Asia CEO Forum, the largest national business event series in the Philippines, will be holding its annual Asia CEO Awards. Promising to be bigger than ever after a decade, this year’s event is set to feature fourteen awards, the categories and sponsors of which were announced during the official media launch held at the Grand Ballroom of the Manila Marriott Hotel last April 26th.

Kalibrr, the first and only end-to-end recruitment solutions provider in Southeast Asia, will once again serve as the presenter of the Top Employer of the Year, a distinction reserved for companies who promote a competitive but healthy workplace, resulting in the betterment of not only their business, but more importantly, their employees. Last year, Integrated Micro-Electronics, Inc. was recognized as the Kalibrr Top Employer 2018.

During the official announcement of this year’s award categories, Kalibrr Co-Founder and CEO Paul Rivera described a Top Employer of the Year awardee as one that “is not only about what the company gives to its team and its people, but also values a holistic approach in employment, job-security, career development, health, welfare, balance, non-monetary benefits, and engagement, among others.”

“The Kalibrr Top Employer of the Year,” Rivera added, “aspires, and works, so that its organization becomes the place to work.” Noting how being consistent is a characteristic of a true top employer, Rivera also advised employers in attendance at the media launch that “if you win this award one year, you should try to win it every single year.”

Two New Categories Announced for 2019

Another major announcement made during the official media launch was the addition of two new award categories for this year’s Asia CEO Awards. These are the InLife Shero of the Year, described as recognition for “a woman doing business in the Philippines who has achieved success and has embodied the strength of a modern woman”, and the TeleTech Diversity of the Year Award, recognition reserved for “a company that progressively empowers its employees regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or disability.”

As a continued push for diversity in the workplace is the apparent inspiration for the new awards, it also became a topic during the scheduled panel discussion of the media launch, and Rivera shared some insight on why he believes business leaders should include it among their priorities to establish a winning company culture.

“Leadership needs to understand the why. Why do we want to be diverse? From my experience, diversity brings increased business performance. Because a rational business leader would want to have a diverse set of opinions, a diverse set of perspectives, a diverse set of skills, and a diverse set of genders to have the best set of opinions to become a better business person, better entrepreneur, a better CEO, and a better organization.”

The Asia CEO Awards 2019 will be held at the Marriott Grand Ballroom on October 15, 2019. Nominations for the different awards are open from now until August 15. For nominee submissions, or to learn more about the Asia CEO Awards 2019, visit www.asia-ceo-awards.org.
