First, choose your LOCATION from the list- there are many options if you’d like to work from a specific location. Or, if you’d like, you can also look for remote positions or positions abroad! This feature is the beauty of Kalibrr. It provides you with both local and international opportunities, even in the comfort of your home -made possible thanks to remote work!
Next, edit the Job Level and tick the box Internship/OJT. If you’re a graduating student looking for a position you can eventually move into after college, you can also check the Entry Level/Junior, Apprentice box. Then, proceed with Employment Types. It depends on your schedule- if you still have academic units, you can opt for Part-Time or Contractual, limiting your internship to a specific period.
After job functions and levels, you can choose from a range of educational attainments and requirements for education. For internships, they don’t require you to have a finished degree already so this part can be optional. On the other hand, some companies might be looking to take in interns with relevant education to the position, such as “Students Enrolled in a course pertinent to Marketing, Communication, and Advertising,” for example.
The last three elements, “Company,” “Salary,” and “Responds Fast,” are optional, but they are there to enhance your job-seeking experience ultimately. As stated, Kalibrr equips you with the tools to be fully in control of your job searching- we just make it easier for you! These three elements ensure that you get the internship you want. You can now browse through numerous listings that fit your criteria in the search bar. Of course, if you choose to do this step first, we recommend using the feature “Save this Job” before applying for the internship job listings that caught your eye. You still have to set up your profile!
2) If you decide to skip the job board and go on first to build your profile, you can now start inputting all the information, skills, and experience to make you an attractive candidate to your future employers! It is recommended to fill in all the sections fully, but it is not a requirement!
Make sure to complete the Contact Information part with your updated information and contact lines. Verify your number- this is just a formality in ensuring that the details you provided are correct! This section is crucial because these are the lines through which employers will contact you regarding your application, besides Kalibrr’s messaging tools.
The following sections, such as Salary Expectation and Work Experience, are not prerequisites to be filled up, especially if you’re still a student. However, if you have a set goal for allowance in your internship, you can set it there. Moreover, if you already have past work or internship experiences, you can put them in this section! Instead of work experiences, you can choose to add other profile sections, such as seminars and training, affiliations, awards and achievements, and volunteerism. These can definitely beef your profile up despite a lack of work experience!

After those sections, you can now move on to the Education part and list your educational attainments, starting from the most recent and relevant one. You can see these tips as you go along per section as you are guided through the efforts of building your professional profile on Kalibrr.
We now move on to the Skills part. Now, this section is your chance to shine because you will be listing your best qualities- such as your soft and hard skills and your level of mastery over them (Basic, Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert). As a student, you have been building these skills through the various projects, papers, researchers, and events you have made and gone through during your years of studying.
In listing soft skills, they are the traits that make you an effective worker and leader in the workplace. You can include problem-solving skills, creative thinking, leadership, teamwork, communication skills, conflict resolution, organizational skills, and listening skills.
On the other hand, hard skills are the technical and specialized skills you have acquired through your courses, training, and hands-on experience. These can include data analysis, writing, research, graphic design, multimedia editing, social media marketing, and Microsoft Office Suite use knowledge.
As students, most of these skills will range from basic to intermediate proficiency, and that’s okay! Internships offer a lot of room for growth, and it is through them, that you will be able to improve your skills and learn some new ones. Just make sure that you list both the hard and soft skills that will be relevant to the internship position you are applying to.
After filling these sections up, Kalibrr will ask you for your resume. As a student, the best type of resume format to use is a functional resume, which is the kind that highlights your skills and strengths rather than your experiences.
